"Hit-- you organised a song already?!" How many people knew about their big dance number and why did Sirius think he was the person he shouldn't bother informing about said dance number? "You're bloody mad, you are." And then he laughed because what else could he do but laugh. This was nuts, he had no idea what was happening and it was insane.

Trying to suppressed his mad, nervous laugh, he stumbled and tried not to accidentally stand on anyone's feet. He was not wearing good shoes for this, he really should have worn some with better soles. These were like ice skates on a shiny floor.

"Oh blimey, what are you doing?" Looking around, he saw all the people look at them and felt a surge of anxiety. He did hate being the center of attention, it always felt wrong to be noticed.

"I don't have rhythm. I think you're mistaking me for someone else." He said as he very elegantly stood on Sirius' foot. How did Sirius even know about the tango? Why wouldn't this be a thing he knew nothing about and therefore could not trap him into doing? He heard James hooting and cheering in the crowd. Ever supportive, as always.

"Get some, Pads! You go, Moony!"

Blocking out their idiot friend, Remus couldn't help but notice how close they were. God, Sirius had a firm chest. Nice too. He was all warm and -- God, he sounded like a school girl with a crush. What was wrong with him? And why did Sirius smell so bloody good? "If I break your toes after this, it's your own damn fault."

"Ah! Pads!" Remus flailed and gripped onto Sirius, unsure if he should laugh or panic as he twirled in his arms. He could hear others laugh but, to be fair, he'd laugh too if he had to watch two odd pillocks dancing around each other. Without being able to stop it, Remus blushed as he got hugged close, feeling it spread and spread until he felt like his ears were on fire. Sirius just made him feel things he didn't really want to feel.

Or get why he was feeling them. He felt his stomach fill with butterflies as he just followed Sirius along, trying to keep up. "You're making me dizzy, mate. Can't you do a slower dance?"

"Yeah... guess I am." He smiled, unguarded and earnest. No one made him smile quite like how Sirius made him smile. It was a warmth he got in his chest, just like he knew it was genuine. The joke aside, he knew that Sirius just wanted to make him laugh. And he did. Every time. Shit, why did that make him feel like he could swoon? Gah! "We just gonna... keep dancing then?"

He almost wanted to lean into him but he fought off those odd urges because he didn't need that. Not right now. "Good. We're showing everyone else up with our moves."

"On the Wednesday after we break up. My dad can't pick me up from the train station on the Monday and Tuesday it'd be late so I said to delay it. Besides, it's not so bad." He had no pressing need to rush home but he was excited to see his parents. He just hoped they weren't upset this time. Whenever he lost weight or got new scars, his mom got upset and that was always a bummer. "It'll be quieter around here. I always like that."

The less people, the better. It wasn't that he didn't like people, he loved them but... with people came stress. He always felt like he had to please them and he had no idea how. "How about you?"

"God forbid. They'll be banning you from marrying your dear cousin next." Remus teased, always kind of amused by how insane the Black family could be. Amused and concerned, honestly. He didn't miss how much Sirius hated going home, he wished he didn't have to but he knew it wasn't possible to avoid it. Sadly.

"If you do finish early, send me an owl. I'll come back sooner too and... then it'll be less lonely." He wanted to support him, any way he could.

"Well, my mom is a muggle so we have a lot of those traditions mixed with my dad's traditions so it's a beautiful mix... or disorderly chaos." Remus dropped down in his seat again, still blushing because this was a lot of touching Sirius. And Sirius was hot. Not like physically hot but just -- the most beautiful man he'd ever seen. And that was annoying in so many ways. Why did he have to be so handsome?

"We watch Christmas films on the telly and the specials, all that stuff, then we have presents and food. My mom always lets me have some drink but it's usually like those tiny babychams. Ever had those? Can't get pissed on them but it's fun." It was a little tradition and he loved it, he loved every tradition he had, he wouldn't trade it for the world. "She goes back to work on the second and dad too so then I have the house to myself. I usually just sleep."

He was a teenage boy, of course he did. "I'd invite you but..." They both knew it was impossible.

"Good, I'll buy you that stupid hat. I have like... five ideas for costumes and sweaters and hats I wanna get you. First chance we get to have Christmas, I got a lot of muggle merch for you. You'll bloody love it!" Remus grinned brightly, knowing that one day soon, they'd be having an amazing Christmas together. And he'd get Sirius an adorable Rudolf hat.

"And I'll send you some Christmas cards. Maybe one will reach you." He could have some hope. "I'll send one on the 23rd so try to be on the roof."

"Dickens. Not much better but it's Charles Dickens. I'll borrow you a copy, if you fancy. I got it somewhere." He had a lot of books in his room he meant to read and never did. Most of them were now stacks that held things like cups, glasses and his clothes. They were handy for that, to be fair. "I'll help to inspire your prank, I think it'd be pretty funny."

Whatever kept Sirius entertained. "This year, Christmas will be good." Mostly because he'd have the full moon out of the way with. "Hopefully for both of us."
