"I'll let you know. James said the same. Well, James said I should come stay with them." Of course, James always said that. Sometimes Sirius wondered why he didn't just do it. Run off, run away. But it was easier said then done and he had a lot of bravado as he stood here. Harder to have that at Grimmauld Place. "I get to ride home with Regulus. Can't wait."

He rolled his eyes and then finally let go of Remus, but only to grab his arm instead so he could escort him back to his seat. He had been raised well, even if he did all he could to suppress his gentlemanly upbringing in every possible way. "What do you do for Christmas at your house anyway? Don't think I ever asked."

"Well, my mom is a muggle so we have a lot of those traditions mixed with my dad's traditions so it's a beautiful mix... or disorderly chaos." Remus dropped down in his seat again, still blushing because this was a lot of touching Sirius. And Sirius was hot. Not like physically hot but just -- the most beautiful man he'd ever seen. And that was annoying in so many ways. Why did he have to be so handsome?

"We watch Christmas films on the telly and the specials, all that stuff, then we have presents and food. My mom always lets me have some drink but it's usually like those tiny babychams. Ever had those? Can't get pissed on them but it's fun." It was a little tradition and he loved it, he loved every tradition he had, he wouldn't trade it for the world. "She goes back to work on the second and dad too so then I have the house to myself. I usually just sleep."

He was a teenage boy, of course he did. "I'd invite you but..." They both knew it was impossible.

"Sounds like a lot of fun. I wanna see your telly!" Sounded amazing. His Christmas was nothing like that, which was probably why Sirius sometimes forgot that other people liked the idea of going home. He was glad they got to have fun, it was just a weird concept to wrap his head around. Not even Regulus was happy to go home, it was just what was proper. "One day, we'll all have Christmas together. You know, Peter, you, me and James and Lily, whenever he wears her down."

There, he would believe in his friend, in spite of all evidence. "I'll wear a stupid hat all day."

"Good, I'll buy you that stupid hat. I have like... five ideas for costumes and sweaters and hats I wanna get you. First chance we get to have Christmas, I got a lot of muggle merch for you. You'll bloody love it!" Remus grinned brightly, knowing that one day soon, they'd be having an amazing Christmas together. And he'd get Sirius an adorable Rudolf hat.

"And I'll send you some Christmas cards. Maybe one will reach you." He could have some hope. "I'll send one on the 23rd so try to be on the roof."

"Sure thing. I wanna see if I can meet Santa anyway." Well, he had dreams. Dreams one came up with while camping out for a few hours on a freezing cold roof. "I've been plotting for weeks now, I wanna do something. Remember that muggle book you told me about? By Charles... Cockens?" Something like that. "The one with the three ghosts. I wanna drive Regulus crazy and make him believe he's haunted."

What a worthwhile thing to put all his energy toward.

"Dickens. Not much better but it's Charles Dickens. I'll borrow you a copy, if you fancy. I got it somewhere." He had a lot of books in his room he meant to read and never did. Most of them were now stacks that held things like cups, glasses and his clothes. They were handy for that, to be fair. "I'll help to inspire your prank, I think it'd be pretty funny."

Whatever kept Sirius entertained. "This year, Christmas will be good." Mostly because he'd have the full moon out of the way with. "Hopefully for both of us."
