"You'll see, I suppose."

"Don't!"

Warwick spared a smile for Sirius before turning back to Remus and muttering the word, wand pointed.

"Cruciatus."

Sirius tugged on his chains harshly when the curse started. He couldn't watch this, he couldn't. "No! Stop it, damn it. Stop!"

He knew how it felt. Had felt it years before for the first time, one of those things he hadn't told anyone but his friends suspected. Had felt it over and over again the past few days, weeks. It hurt a thousand times worse to see Remus go through it.

"Leave him alone!"

For now, Warwick ended the torture, turning back to Sirius.

"Why don't you shut up while the adults talk, Black? Theodore, tell him to shut up. We were having such a nice conversation."
