To his credit, Remus did not so much as flinch, though he knew the tiny trickle of a telltale wet trail would still be present on his face. He bared his teeth just slightly before he spoke, his voice taking a different edge to it here than the soft-spoken werewolf's normal tone.

"Theodore. And I am no friend of his. Now if you would be so hospitable as to turn your fat mug the other way when you speak, your breath reeks of something long dead."

It was not the sort of comment that would keep either of them from harm, but here, there was nothing they could say that would, and Remus relied on the Marauder within to keep strong here. That and the faith that James, Lily and Harry were safe.
