Sirius took a deep breath when it had become clear, all too clear, that this was really happening. He stared at Remus, looked into his eyes. Damn, he had spent so much time thinking of him when he just needed something positive, something beautiful to focus on. Now he just wished for Remus to be gone. To be safe.

"Damn it, Moony."

He muttered, glancing off to the side. Alright, think fast, he knew they'd not leave them alone for long.

"Pretend you don't know me well. Just in passing."

He had no idea whether that would be a wise move in the end or not, but perhaps it would be better than no plan at all.

"I love you," he muttered, quiet and fast, because he had already thought he'd never get to tell him again.
